MemorasMemoras (“we”, “us”) is a travel-memory app that lets you discover places, check in, and keep your memories together. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions? help@memoras.app.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address and display name.
- Your content: the memories, photos, ratings, notes, check-ins/visits and wishlist items you create.
- Approximate location: only while you’re using the app, to show places near you on the map. We don’t track your location in the background.
- Technical: a push-notification token (if you enable notifications) and basic app/version information needed to deliver updates.
How we use it
- To provide the app: save your memories, show nearby places and experiences, and sync across your devices.
- To share content within your “My Memoras” group with the people you invite.
- To send notifications you opt into.
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for cross-app advertising tracking.
Service providers
We rely on trusted third-party service providers to run Memoras — for example to host our database, handle sign-in, store photos, and deliver app updates and notifications. These providers process data only on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments, and never to sell your data. A current list of our processors is available on request at help@memoras.app.
- Experiences — “Experiences” are provided by an external booking partner (GetYourGuide) and open in your browser. Opening one may earn us a commission; we only append a non-personal partner ID, so no personal data is shared.
- Place information — comes from open data sources (such as OpenStreetMap and Wikipedia). No personal data is sent to them.
Data sharing in groups
Memories, photos and wishlist items are shared with the members of the “My Memoras” group you join, so everyone in the group can see them.
Retention & deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and, if you’re the sole member of your group, your memories and photos. You can also request deletion by emailing help@memoras.app. See memoras.app/delete-account.
Children
Memoras is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We don’t knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
You may access, correct or delete your data. Contact help@memoras.app and we’ll help.
Changes
We’ll update this page and the “last updated” date when this policy changes.
